About Zoe

Hi, my name is Zoe Seddon
I am 50 years old and was born with cerebral palsy, one of the results of which is a lack of 3D vision, hence my particular style of painting.
I started studying textiles at school and then graduated from Chelsea Art School and have continued to paint ever since. I have also worked with mosaics and screen printing my own designs which gave a new aspect to my work. I have previously done pottery and hugely enjoyed throwing pots and jugs, as well as experimenting with making wall plaques of some of my favourite paintings.
I love bright colours and enjoy painting seascapes and harbours, particularly in my native Pembrokeshire, as well as all manner of bright and beautiful things!
As well as my art, I am a fully qualified masseuse and enjoy music, fashion, reading and scuba diving.
EXHIBITIONS
I held an exhibition at my old school, Treloar College and School in Alton, Hampshire from the 24th October until the 9th November 2017. Thank you to everyone who came and saw my work there.
I was due to hold an exhibition which I called ‘Zoom’ in April 2020. However, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, unfortunately it had to be cancelled. Despite not being able to show my work, this hasn’t stopped me from painting new views and trying new techniques throughout the past few years. You’ll find lots of my work on the ‘Original Paintings’ area of my website and there’s a lot more to come too!
My works appeared as part of the Chelsea Art Society 74th Annual Exhibition in June 2024. My works have also previously appeared as part of the Salisbury Arts Trail in Wiltshire. I was once given the accolade of Artist of the Month by the Salisbury Journal, also based in Wiltshire.
